Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana is a scheme started by the Haryana government under which financial assistance will be given to the families of economically weaker sections to marry their daughters. Objective Of Vivah Shagun Yojana
Vivaah Shagun Yojana is a scheme started by the Haryana state, the main objective of which is to provide financial assistance to the families of economically weaker sections and Scheduled Castes and Tribes who have to marry their daughters so that they can celebrate their daughter’s marriage with pomp and show without any financial constraints.
Benefits of Vivah Shagun Yojana
- This scheme has been started in the state of Haryana under which financial assistance ranging from Rs 31000 to Rs 71000 will be given for the marriage of the daughter.
- If you belong to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category and your annual income is less than Rs. 1,80,000 then you will be given an amount of Rs. 71000 by the government.
- If you are a widow and your annual income is less than Rs 1,80,000, then you will be provided an amount of Rs 51,000. This benefit will be given to women of all castes.
- Women of BC, OBC, GEN category will be provided an amount of Rs 31,000. Annual income should be less than Rs 1,80,000.
- If either the bride or the groom is handicapped then they will be given an amount of Rs 31000 by the government.
- If both the bride and groom are handicapped then they will be given an amount of Rs 31000 by the government.
Eligibility
- To apply under this scheme, it is mandatory for you to be a native of Haryana.
- Only married people can apply under this scheme.
- The age of the girl should be above 18 years.
- The annual income of the girl’s family should be less than Rs 180000.
- It is mandatory to apply within 6 months of marriage.
